Same day delivery for vintage and antique finds
There’s something magical about this year's spring edition of The Ticking Tent—an event rooted in discovery, design, and the thrill of the hunt. Set on the grounds of the idyllic Spring Hill Vineyards in New Preston, Connecticut, this seasonal pop-up draws tastemakers, interior designers, and collectors alike, all on the lookout for one-of-a-kind pieces with a story to tell.
For the second time, Lugg joined the mix to make sure the only thing guests had to carry was their inspiration.
How to get large or fragile objects home
From the moment the tent flaps opened, it was clear: people came ready to discover something rare. But as any design lover knows, the logistics of getting large, delicate, or awkwardly shaped finds home can be the biggest buzzkill.
That’s where we came in.
We sent our New England sales rep, Mac, to represent Lugg onsite—and from the moment the gates opened, he hit the ground running. Positioned right at the entrance—thanks to the generous hospitality of The Ticking Tent co-founder Benjamin Reynaert—Mac became a go-to guide for how to get things from tent to (our) trunk (and your doorstep).
He gave live app demos, chatted with hundreds of guests, answered vendor questions, and coordinated same-day deliveries for just about everything you can imagine: vintage desks, ceramic pots, artwork, and a few antique oddities. He even helped guests carry items to their cars (because we'll always lend a hand with the heavy lifting).
“When it comes to discovering unique finds and special pieces, we love knowing that Lugg can assist in getting everything home safe and sound.” -Benjamin Reynaert

On-site pickup and event logistics
What became clear was this: in a setting where every object is rare, delicate, and often oversized, the value of instant, on-demand delivery speaks for itself. Lugg helped eliminate the age-old pop-up problem—“How on earth am I going to get this home?”
Because no one wants to spend their day measuring trunk space or texting a friend with a truck.
The goal was simple: help guests take home what they loved without a second thought.
One customer who used Lugg to deliver two antique benches called it:
“Excellent, friendly, thoughtful service.”

A win-win for shoppers and sellers
For vendors, it meant more sales and fewer “I love it, but I can’t fit it” moments. For shoppers, it meant more time browsing and less time figuring out logistics. And for the event as a whole, it created a smoother, more premium experience from start to finish.
Guests didn’t have to think twice about size, weight, or breakability—they could simply fall in love and let us take it from there.

The future of event delivery: making pop-ups more shoppable
At Lugg, we believe discovery shouldn’t be limited by logistics. We see a growing opportunity here. Artisanal markets, estate sales, design fairs—these are the kinds of spaces where Lugg can quietly solve a big problem: how to get gorgeous, meaningful pieces home today.
Because delivery shouldn’t be a barrier to purchase, it should be built in.
The Ticking Tent proved that same-day delivery doesn’t just belong in big cities. Sometimes, it belongs under a tent in Connecticut, surrounded by good design, great people, and even better finds.
We’ll see you at the next one.
