How long can I schedule a moving truck in advance?

Can I choose my moving truck size?

 Yes, we offer four different vehicle types, so you’ll always have the right truck for your move:

Can I reschedule my Lugg move or furniture delivery?

If your plans change, no problem. Lugg makes it easy to reschedule your move or delivery in just a few taps.

  1. Open the Lugg app and log in with your phone number.
  2. Go to “My Luggs” and select your upcoming booking.
  3. Tap “View/Edit” to choose a new date and time; it can be later that day or a week from now.
  4. Confirm your changes. Your booking will update instantly, and you’ll receive a new confirmation via text or push notification.

There’s no fee to reschedule, and you can even cancel or rebook as long as your crew hasn’t started loading your items. If you forgot to update your Lugg and your crew has already arrived but hasn’t begun loading, you can still cancel or request a new time. If you need help, you can reach out to our support team via chat.

Does Lugg charge customers when booking? 

When you book a Lugg, you won’t be charged right away. Instead, we place a temporary authorization hold on your card for the estimated cost of your move or delivery. This is a standard e-commerce practice to:

  • Confirm your payment method is valid.
  • Ensure enough funds are available for your booking.
  • Help your move go smoothly without payment issues later.

When will my card be charged for a Lugg?

  • If you book less than five days in advance, the hold appears shortly after booking.
  • If you book more than five days in advance, we place the hold five days before your scheduled Lugg.

What happens to the hold after my move is complete?

  • If your final total is less than the estimate, we adjust the hold and charge the lower amount.
  • If it’s more, we update the hold to match the final cost before charging.

If you cancel before dispatch, the hold is automatically removed. Most holds are released or converted to charges within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.
